How to add your stories and items

Take a picture/pictures of the item you want to share.
Fill out the Submission Form below.
Click the "Choose Files" button and upload items to section 3. We accept images, audio, videos, PDF files, screenshots of news, and all posts on social media (Twitter, Facebook, Tiktok, Instagram, Snapchat, etc).
If your images or items come from other websites, include their address in section 5.
Hit the Submit button at the end of this page.
You're all set! If you don't see the "Thank you for sharing your story with us!" message on the next page after the submission, please contact Anne Delano Steinert (steineao@ucmail.uc.edu).

Submission Form

1. Give your story/item a short title.*

2. Describe what the object or story you've uploaded says about Avondale and/or why what you've submitted is important to you.* To increase the size of your text box, click on the bottom right corner and drag your mouse. and drag your mouse.

3. If relevant, upload all files associated with your memory. (Use +ctrl or +shift to select multiple objects in your device's file window.)

4. Provide a file format.

5. Include a relevant website address here.

6. What topics does the story/item address? Provide us with keywords. For example African American history; Education; Family; Community

7. What sort of object is this? (Image, yearbook, silver spoon, document, etc.)*

8. Give this story a date.*

9. Select the language of the item.*

10. Who originally owned the object? If you are uploading a newspaper article, please address the company name.*

11. Describe your relationship with the creator/owner of the item.

Contributors are required to enter their names and email. We gather email addresses only for the purpose of getting in touch with contributors if we require clarification and further questions about the submissions. Your email address will not be shared or published through our archive.
