Oscar Fernandez

Oscar Fernandez is an emeritus faculty member of the University of Cincinnati who served in the College of Design, Art, Architecture, and Planning. He was influential in the development of the Hablamos Juntos project. Fernandez with his fellow associates from other universities worked on the Hablamos Juntos project to help those with a language barrier understand hospital signs nationwide.

Charles Casey-Leininger

Dr. Charels Fredrick Casey-Leininger is a retired professor of History at UC who worked there from 1982 to 2002. He discusses his unique experience exploring job possibilities before settling down. He was a carpenter for many years while he obtained two Master’s degrees in geology and history and one Doctoral degree. Dr. Casey-Leininger spent most of his work at UC researching, teaching, and writing about race and housing in Cincinnati neighborhoods.
