HIST 2060: African History I: Human Origin, African Civilizations and the Rise of the Trans-Atlantic Slave

This course explores the various political, social, and economic developments in pre-colonial Africa and the continent’s relationship with other parts of the world, including Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. We will also discuss the rise of the trans-Atlantic slave trade and its impacts on the continent.

History students must enroll under Hist2060 for the course to count toward the History major or minor.
