This course examines the history of American health crises from the colonial era through the twentieth first century. It covers various geographic areas across the United States and diseases. It uses localized case studies of various disease outbreaks to illuminate personal experiences while demonstrating how these events influenced larger political, social, and economic realities. This course will cover various geographic areas and diseases.
