HIST 2033: Hollywood and US History

This class looks at Hollywood narratives that represent historical events. We will treat those narratives as viable historical interpretations but we will also read those films in relation to more conventional historical narratives and documents. In addition, we will consider those films in relation to their circumstances of production, including the historical circumstances.
